8 Steps to Tracking Your Keyword Conversion in Google Adwords
Since Google Adwords is about keywords, then you have to know how to track conversions based on every keyword. I’m going to show you how you can track your conversions per keyword.
Step 1: Log in the your Adwordsa account and click on the “Reports” Tab. A dropdown menu will appear, so select “Conversions.”
Step 2: Look for the “New Conversion” button and click it. Then you have to give this new conversion profile an “Action name.”
Step 3: When a “Tracking Purpose” droplist appears, select from the list of options.
Step 4: Look at your website’s “thank you” page and see whether or not the URL is an HTTP or an HTTPS. This will help you set the “Page Security Level.”
Step 5: If you’d like to measure a fixed value, you can enter this into the “Revenue for conversion” field. But it’s also okay if you’d like to leave this blank.
Step 6: Google gives you a small image that will help you announce to your customers that Google is tracking information on that page. It’s good ethics to show this to your customers to help establish trust. You can add this into your website by merging the image with your present website’s color scheme to make it less noticeable.
Step 7: Click on the “Save and get code button” and copy the code that will be provided in the box below the button.”
Step 8: Paste the code into your thank you page or the last step in your purchase process.
After pasting the code into your website, you will begin receiving detailed conversion statistics from Google. This will help you see which of your keywords converted and see which ones have given you sales.
You can also track your keyword conversions using Google Analytics and you can search how to install this in your webpage. Once you’ve installed these tracking software into your website, you’ll have crucial information about keywords that will make your Google Adwords campaign a success.
